Hi penguins,
Cube Penguin is happy to announce its official opening to the public! We are a Minecraft server that aims to recreate as best as possible the famous and nostalgic game 'Club Penguin'.
First of all, let me give you a little background: My name is Pato. I am the one writing this post, and I'm the owner of CBP. Hi! Cube Penguin has existed for over three years now (four if we're counting its previous versions), but it's only been open to my close, close friends, so you might've guessed our community so far has been really small. Only about 15 penguins have played on the island in total as I'm writing this! So after many parties, many moons coding and working on the project, I've decided it's finally time to open it for everyone to enjoy!
Our goal is to make the best job possible at recreating the original game, mainly from the 2005-2012 era. This means we thrive to give the game a cartoony and funny feel, much like the older Club Penguin, and to implement as much features as possible (currently, we have 14 minigames, puffles, clothing items, stamps, parties and more!).
But for us, recreating Club Penguin is not just about the landscapes or the features. It also means preserving the original values the game had. Club Penguin's main mission was to create a virtual playground where kids could safely interact and play on, and here at CBP the rules are the same. We are family-friendly, which means things like swearing and other mature content are not allowed. If you ever join the island, please do /rules and take time to read them.
